Pelotonia Tour

The Crowne Plaza Columbus North hotel is ideally located for fans and riders in the Pelotonia Tour. This annual fundraiser, held in August, benefits cancer research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute.

In 2008, Dr. Michael Caligiuri, Director of the OSUCCC and CEO of The James, began researching ways to raise funds for the critical cancer research performed at these institutions. He learned about the Pan-Mass Challenge from colleagues at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. This inspired Dr. Caligiuri to reach out to the generous Ohio-based cycling community and Columbus community and the Pelotonia was born.

Pelotonia is a grassroots bike tour that raises money for innovative and life saving cancer research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, Ohio's only freestanding cancer hospital and research center.

Riders choose from six routes several of which begin and/or end in Columbus. Whether you are participating in the event as a rider, sponsor or simply watching the great ride, this beneficial and fun event brings Columbus and surrounding communities together.
